1. Work on the Astromeritis - Evrychou Motorway
The Project Engineering Office of the Astromeritis - Evrychou Motorway, Department of Public Works, Ministry of Transport, Communications and Works, announces that on Monday 12/2/2024, between the hours of 12:00 - 1:00 noon, there will be a short traffic stop due to works on the Nicosia - Troodos long-distance road in the area of Atsa, near the village of Koutrafa.
2. The Larnaca District Engineer's Office, Department of Public Works, Ministry of Transport, Communications and Works announces that on Friday 9/2/2024 from 9:00 in the morning until 12:00 noon, pavement leveling inspections will be carried out on a section of the Larnaca - Ayia Napa motorway, from the exit to Pyla to the exit to Xylotympou.
During the execution of the works, one lane will be closed in the direction of Larnaca - Ayia Napa for a distance of approximately 500m and traffic will be diverted to the adjacent lane using appropriate signage.
3. Maintenance and beautification works on main avenue islands in Larnaca District
The Larnaca District Engineer's Office, Department of Public Works, Ministry of Transport, Communications and Works announces that, during the period 12/2/2024 - 15/3/2024, between the hours of 8:00 - 13:00, daily except weekends, on Eleftherias, Acropolis, Australias, Spyros Kyprianou and Hellas Avenues of Larnaca District, maintenance and beautification works of the central islands will be carried out by the Municipality of Aradippou.
During the execution of the works, the adjacent traffic lanes (from both directions) of the central island will be partially closed for a length of approximately 100m and traffic will be directed to the adjacent lane.
4. The Limassol District Engineer's Office, Department of Public Works, Ministry of Transport, Communications and Works announces that, during the period 13/2/2024 - 29/2/2024, between the hours of 9:00 in the evening to 6:00 in the morning of the following day, except Fridays and weekends on the Limassol - Nicosia motorway (A1), work will be carried out to install/replace reflective nails at the motorway junctions.
During the works, one lane will be partially closed in one direction only for a length of approximately 500m and traffic will be diverted to the other lane.
5. Cyprus Electricity Authority works in the Limassol District
The Limassol District Engineer's Office, Public Works Department, Ministry of Transport, Communications and Works announces that on Sunday 11/2/2024, from 5:30 in the morning until 6:00 in the afternoon, the section of Arch. Makarios C΄ from the light-controlled junction with Agia Zoni Street to the Enaerion roundabout in the direction of Enaerion, will be closed to traffic due to works by the Cyprus Electricity Authority. During the works, traffic towards the Enaerion roundabout will be conducted via Agia Zoni and Thekla Lysioti streets.
The Department of Public Works apologises for the inevitable inconvenience that will be caused and invites the public to show the necessary understanding and comply with the temporary road signs and the instructions of the Police.
