[PIO] Announcements of the Public Works Department for works in the Limassol District

The Limassol District Engineer's Office, Department of Public Works, Ministry of Transport, Communications and Works announces that on the Paphos - Limassol motorway and the Limassol bypass road, the Forestry Department will carry out maintenance works on the trees and bushes of the central island, as follows:

(a) During the period 29/5/2024 - 9/7/2024, between the hours of 07:00 - 15:30, on the section from the exit to Kurri Dam to Petra tou Romiou,

(b) on Sunday 2/6/2024, between the hours 06:00 - 13:00 on the section from the uphill roundabout of Germasogeia to the uphill roundabout of Agios Athanasios, and

(c) on weekends 8 - 9/6/2024 and 15 - 16/6/2024, between the hours 06:00 - 13:00, on the section of the Paphos - Limassol motorway, from the exit to Ayios Sylas to the unlevel roundabout of New Port.

During the works, the express lane will be partially closed in both directions for a length of approximately 1500m and traffic will be diverted to the slow lane.

2. The Limassol District Engineer's Office, Department of Public Works, Ministry of Transport, Communications and Works announces that during the period 28/5/2024 - 15/12/2024, excluding Fridays, weekends and holidays, between 07:00 - 15:30, on the Limassol - Paphos motorway on the section from Erimi to the Bridge near Petra tou Romiou, plantation watering works will be carried out within the central island by the Forestry Department.

During the works, the express lane in one direction of the road will be partially closed for approximately 200m and traffic will be diverted to the slow lane.

The Department of Public Works and the Department of Forestry apologize for the unavoidable inconvenience that will be caused and urge the public to demonstrate the necessary understanding and patience and comply with the temporary road signs and the instructions of the Police.
