[PIO] Announcements of the Department of Public Works for works in the Districts of Limassol, Larnaca and Nicosia

1. The Limassol District Engineer's Office, Limassol Public Works Department, Ministry of Transport, Communications and Works announces that from Friday 1/12/2023 until Saturday 23/12/2023, including weekends, work will be carried out by a private company on the Limassol coastal road and on the road connecting the Limassol - Paphos A6 motorway with the New Limassol Port (Vertical Road), under the Contract of the Department of Electromechanical Services, for the installation of the photoluminescence system.

During the execution of the works, one lane will be closed at all times for a length of approximately 100m and traffic will be diverted to the adjacent lane.

2. Closed section of Archbishop Makarios Avenue in Larnaca District

The Office of the District Engineer, Larnaca Department of Public Works, Ministry of Transport, Communications and Works announces that on Saturday 2/12/2023, between 15:30 - 22:00 in Archbishop Makarios Avenue, Livadia Larnaca, a social event and parade will be held by the Municipality of Livadia.

During the above event, the section of Archiepiskopou Makarios Avenue outside the Agia Paraskevi Park to the Primary School in Grigori Afxentiou Street will be closed to traffic and traffic will be routed through adjacent roads.

3. Maintenance works of the greenery of the central islands in Nicosia District

The Office of the District Engineer, Nicosia Department of Public Works, Ministry of Transport, Communications and Works announces that from Monday 4/12/2023 until Thursday 7/12/2023, maintenance works of the greenery of the central islands will be carried out by the Municipality of Strovolos on parts of the following roads in the Nicosia Urban Area from Monday 4/12/2023 until Thursday 7/12/2023:

1. Archangelos Avenue from the junction with Andi Hadjikostis Avenue to the junction with Agios Alexandrou Street (4 - 5 December 2023 between 09:30-14:00),
2. Strovolos Avenue from the junction with Kilkis Street to the junction with Agios Stylianos Street (6 December 2023 between 09:00 -13:00),
3. Nikos Papamina Avenue from the roundabout of the General Hospital to the entrance of Athalassa Park (7 December 2023 between 09:00 - 16:00).

During the execution of the works, the adjacent traffic lane of the central island will be partially closed for a length of approximately 100 - 200 m. at a time and traffic will be directed to the adjacent traffic lane.

4. Asphalt paving works in Nicosia District

The Office of the District Engineer, Nicosia Public Works Department, Ministry of Transport, Communications and Works announces that from Tuesday 5/12/2023 until Monday 11/12/2023, except weekends, from 08:00 in the morning until 17:30 in the afternoon, asphalt paving works will be carried out on the road to Athienou (E201), Ch.Th. 0+000 - 2+300.

During the execution of the works, one lane of the road will remain closed for a length of 150m. The Department of Public Works apologizes for the inevitable inconvenience that will be caused and invites the public to show the necessary understanding and to comply with the temporary road signs and the instructions of the Police.
