The Nicosia District Engineer's Office, Department of Public Works, Ministry of Transport, Communications and Works announces that on Saturday 18/5/2024 and Sunday 19/5/2024 between 05:00 - 10:00 on the Nicosia - Larnaca motorway (A2) on the central island in both directions until the exit of Athienou and on the Nicosia - Limassol motorway (A1), at the height of Kornos on the central island in both directions.
In addition, on Saturday 25/5/2024 and Sunday 26/5/2024 between the hours 05:00 - 10:00 reflector washing works will be carried out on the Nicosia - Limassol motorway (A1) from the Kalispera lights to Pentaschino, with the exception of the Kornou area.
On Saturday 1/6/2024 between the hours 05:00 - 10:00 reflector washing works will be carried out on the Nicosia - Akaki motorway (A9) at the central island in both directions.
On Sunday 2/6/2024 between the hours of 05:00 - 10:00 reflector washing works will be carried out on the central island on Spyrou Kyprianou Avenue (B22) and Griva Digenis Avenue (B18) in both directions.
During the execution of the above works, the public is requested to use the left lane and to demonstrate the necessary understanding and compliance with the temporary road signs and the instructions of the Police.
The Department of Public Works apologizes for any inconvenience that may be caused.
2. Works on part of the old Paphos-Lemesos road
The Paphos District Engineer's Office, Public Works Department, Ministry of Transport, Communications and Works announces that during the period 13/5/2024 - 12/5/2025 (for 12 months), works will be carried out on the construction of stabilisation measures on part of the old Paphos - Limassol road (B6) near Petra to Romiou in Ch.Th. 24+200 - Th. 24+500 (near the refreshment area of the CTO at Petra tou Romiou).
During the execution of the works the reconstructed part of the road will not be available to traffic. There will be continuous and uninterrupted traffic on both sides of the site boundary.
Traffic on the old Paphos - Limassol road (B6) from Paphos to Limassol will be directed from the exit at Petra tou Romiou (after Aphrodite Hills on the left) and from Limassol/Pissouri to Paphos from the exit at Pissouri, on the Paphos - Limassol motorway (A6).
The Department of Public Works apologises for the unavoidable inconvenience that will be caused and invites the public to show the necessary understanding and comply with the temporary road signs and the instructions of the Police.
