1. Asphalt paving works in Nicosia District
The Nicosia District Engineer's Office, Department of Public Works, Ministry of Transport, Communications and Works announces that on Wednesday 24/1/2024, from 21:00 until 05:00 in the morning of Thursday 25/01/2024, asphalt paving works will be carried out at the entrance to the Kalamata Roundabout (F179) A1 (Nicosia - Limassol) - Roundabout B22. The entrance will remain closed to traffic. Drivers are advised to use the G.S.P. roundabout
2. Cable pulling works in manholes of Cyta in Larnaca District
The Larnaca District Engineer's Office, Department of Public Works, Ministry of Transport, Communications and Works announces that on Thursday 25/1/2024, between 08:30 - 13:00 on Nikos and Despina Pattihis Avenue in Larnaca, cable pulling works on Cyta manholes will be carried out.
During the execution of the works, part of one lane of the road will be closed from the light-controlled junction with Kalymnos Street up to the junction with Constantinople Street in the direction of Fire Brigade locally over manholes and traffic will be diverted to the adjacent lane.
3. Works in Nicosia District - Project "Road within Cheriou"
The Nicosia District Engineer's Office, Public Works Department, Ministry of Transport, Communications and Works announces that during the period 23/1/2024 - 26/4/2024, within the framework of the project "Road within Cheriou", the eighth phase of works is to be implemented during which the section of Strovolos Street from its junction with K. During the execution of the works of the above phase, the traffic from Nicosia to Analyonta will be routed through Arch. Kyprianou, Thermopylae, Pentadaktylou, B. Michaelides, Salaminos, A. Zakou, Omonia, M. Karoli, Th.
Drivers heading towards Nicosia are advised to use Trioni, Achaion, Salaminos, Pentadactylou, K. Varnalis, Kuriou, Strovolos.
For the above traffic regulation there will be appropriate temporary markings, which drivers are advised to follow.
4. Construction work on the culvert at the roundabout near the G.S.P. Stadium.
The Nicosia District Engineer's Office, Public Works Department, Ministry of Transport, Communications and Works announces that on Wednesday 24/1/2024 between the hours 09:00 - 12:00, at the junction of Dimitris Vikelas Avenue and Giannou Kranidiotis Street (small roundabout next to the G.S.P. Stadium).), will be carried out culvert construction works.
During the execution of the works, the exit from Giannou Kranidiotis Street (from the G.S.P) from the roundabout in the direction of Dimitrios Vikelas Avenue will be closed and traffic will be routed through 25th March Avenue and the large roundabout at the junction of Independence Avenue.
5. Asphalt paving works at Alhambra exit
The Nicosia District Engineer's Office, Public Works Department, Ministry of Transport, Communications and Works announces that on Tuesday 23/1/2024, from 21:00 until 05:00 in the morning of Wednesday 24/1/2024, asphalt paving works will be carried out at the exit of Alambra (F160) to the Nicosia - Limassol motorway (Link Road B001 - A001 Alambra).
During the works the road will remain closed to traffic and drivers are advised to use the Sia - Mosfiloti exit.
The Department of Public Works apologizes for the unavoidable inconvenience that will be caused and invites the public to show the necessary understanding and comply with the temporary road signs and the instructions of the Police.
