[PIO] Announcements of the Department of Public Works for works in Nicosia and Larnaca Districts

1. The Nicosia District Engineer's Office, Public Works Department, Ministry of Transport, Communications and Works, announces that from Wednesday 17/1/2024 until Friday 19/1/2024, from 08:30 in the morning until 17:30 in the afternoon, asphalt paving works will be carried out on the road to Lythrodonda from B001 (E103) X.Θ. 3+500 - 4+200.

During the works, one lane of the road will be closed for approximately 150m and traffic will be directed to the adjacent lane using "STOP & GO" signs.

The Nicosia District Engineer's Office, Public Works Department, Ministry of Transport, Communications and Works, announces that from Friday 19/1/2024 until Tuesday 23/1/2024 (excluding weekends), from 08:30 in the morning until 17:30 in the afternoon, paving works will be carried out on Archbishop Makarios Avenue in Lympia (F238) X.Th. 0+000 - 0+600.

During the execution of the works, one lane of the road will remain closed for a length of approximately 150m. and traffic will be directed to the adjacent lane using "STOP & GO" signs.

The Nicosia District Engineer's Office, Department of Public Works, Ministry of Transport, Communications and Works announces that on Monday 22/1/2024, from 09:00 in the evening until 05:00 in the morning of Tuesday 23/1/2024, asphalt paving works will be carried out at the Lympion exit (F166) to the Nicosia - Larnaca Motorway (F165 - A2).

During the execution of the works the road will remain closed to traffic and drivers are advised to use the Kossiis exit.

The District Engineering Project Office of the Nicosia Peripheral Motorway, Public Works Department, Ministry of Transport, Communications and Works, announces that on Saturday 20/1/2024, from 05:00 in the morning until 15:00 in the afternoon, as part of the construction of the Nicosia Perimeter Motorway Phase A1, service works will be carried out on Cheriou Avenue near the junction with the new bypass road. Traffic will be managed using the "STOP & GO" method

The District Engineering Project Office of the Nicosia Peripheral Motorway, Department of Public Works, Ministry of Transport, Communications and Works, announces that on Saturday 20/1/2024, from 05:00 in the morning until 20:00 in the evening, as part of the construction of the Nicosia Perimetric Motorway Phase A1, at the Cherios bypass (Chalepianon Street) near the petrol station, asphalt concrete placement works will be carried out at the junction with the road under construction that will join the Perimetric Motorway. Traffic will be managed using the "STOP & GO" method.


6. Work on Grivas Digenis Avenue in Larnaca

The Larnaca District Engineer's Office, Department of Public Works, Ministry of Transport, Communications and Works, announces that on Sunday 21/1/2024, between the hours of 06:30 - 10:30, on Grivas Digenis Avenue in Larnaca, work will be carried out on manholes by a private telecommunications company.

During the execution of the works, part of one lane of the road will be closed locally over manholes and traffic will be diverted to the adjacent lane using "STOP & GO" signs.


7. Work on Artemis Avenue in Larnaca

The Larnaca District Engineer's Office, Department of Public Works, Ministry of Transport, Communications and Works, announces that on Saturday 20/1/2024, between the hours of 08:00 - 13:00, work will be carried out on Artemis Avenue in Larnaca by a private company.

During the execution of the works, part of the left lane in front of the CNP CYPRIALIFE building towards Larnaca Airport will be closed for a length of 50m. The Department of Public Works apologizes for the inevitable inconvenience that will be caused and invites the public to show the necessary understanding and comply with the temporary road signs and the instructions of the Police.
