The Nicosia District Engineer's Office, Public Works Department, Ministry of Transport, Communications and Works announces that from Monday 20 to Wednesday 22 November 2023, from 09:00 to 15:00, railing maintenance works will be carried out in Akaki and Peristerona (B9).
During the execution of the works, one lane of the road will remain closed for a length of approximately 150m and traffic will be diverted to the adjacent lane using portable temporary traffic lights (stop & go).
2. The Nicosia District Engineer's Office, Public Works Department, Ministry of Transport, Communications and Works announces that from Monday 20 November to Friday 1 December 2023 (excluding weekends), from 07:00 to 17:30, asphalt paving works will be carried out on the Arediou - Farmakas road (E904), Ch.9+500 - 13+600.
During the execution of the works, one lane of the road will remain closed for a length of approximately 150m and traffic will be directed to the adjacent lane (stop & go).
3. The Nicosia District Engineer's Office, Department of Public Works, Ministry of Transport, Communications and Works announces that from Thursday 23 November 2023 until Thursday 14 December 2023, except Fridays and weekends, between 09:00 - 14:00, on the Anthoupolis - Dena highway (A9), the Department of Forests will carry out maintenance work on the greenery of the central islands.
During the execution of the works, the adjacent lane of the central island will be partially closed for a length of approximately 1500m at a time and traffic will be diverted to the adjacent lane.
4. The Nicosia District Engineer's Office, Department of Public Works, Ministry of Transport, Communications and Works announces that on Saturday 25 November 2023, between 07:00 to 12:00, at the exit to Sia from the Limassol - Nicosia motorway and at the entrance from Sia to the Limassol - Nicosia motorway up to the Mosfiloti bridge, asphalt paving works will be carried out.
During the execution of the works, the exit and the entrance to and from Sia from the A1 motorway in the direction of Limassol - Nicosia will be closed. Traffic from Limassol to Sia will be routed through Kornou Junction from the old Nicosia - Limassol road (B1). Similarly, traffic from Sia to Nicosia will be routed through the Mosfiloti bridge to the old Nicosia - Limassol road (B1).
5. Work to collect plastic bags from the central island of the Nicosia - Limassol motorway
The Nicosia District Engineer's Office, Department of Public Works, Ministry of Transport, Communications and Works announces that on Sunday 19 November 2023, between the hours of 06.00 and 11.00, plastic bags will be collected from the central island of the Nicosia - Limassol motorway from the lights of Kalispera to Skarinou.
During the execution of the works, the lane next to the central island will be partially closed for a length of approximately 100m.
6. Closed section of Larnaca - Dhekelia coastal road
The Larnaca District Engineer's Office, Department of Public Works, Ministry of Transport, Communications and Works announces that within the framework of the construction works of the project "Improvement of Larnaca - Dhekelia Coastal Road Phase C", the Larnaca - Dhekelia coastal road, from the height of Athens Street in Oroklini to the Oroklini Fire Station, will be closed to traffic in both directions from 20 November 2023 until 10 May 2024. Traffic will be diverted via Mediterranean Road and drivers are urged to exercise caution.
The Department of Public Works apologizes for the unavoidable inconvenience that will be caused and urges the public to show the necessary understanding and comply with the temporary road signs and the instructions of the Police.
