[PIO] Announcements of the Department of Public Works for works in Larnaca District

1. Network development works by Cyta on the old Nicosia - Limassol road

The Larnaca District Engineer's Office, Department of Public Works, Ministry of Transport, Communications and Works announces that during the period 15/4/2024 - 20/4/2024, between the hours of 08:30 - 15:00, on the old Nicosia - Limassol road, network development works will be carried out by Cyta.

During the execution of the works, part of one lane of the road will be partially closed locally over manholes over a length of approximately 50m. from the exit to Agios Theodoros to the exit to Kofinou Hospitality Centre and traffic will be diverted to the adjacent lane using STOP & GO signs.

2. Work by a private company on Makarios G' Avenue

The Larnaca District Engineer's Office, Department of Public Works, Ministry of Transport, Communications and Works announces that on Friday 12/4/2024, between the hours of 08:30 - 16:00, on Makarios G' Avenue in Larnaca, work will be carried out by a private company.

During the execution of the works, a section of Archbishop Makarios Avenue C' will be closed at a distance of approximately 200m. from its junction with Grigori Afxentiou Street in the direction of Larnaca Port and traffic will be directed to the adjacent lane.

3. The Larnaca District Engineer's Office, Department of Public Works, Ministry of Transport, Communications and Works announces that from Monday 15/4/2024 until Tuesday 23/4/2024, between the hours of 08:30 - 13:30, daily except weekends, along the avenues within the city of Larnaca (Griva Digenis, Spyros Kyprianou, Grigoris Afxentiou, Limassol, Nikos & Despina Pattichi, Artemis, Georgios Christodoulides and Makarios), pavement cleaning works will be carried out by the Municipality of Larnaca.

During the execution of the works, the adjacent lanes will be partially closed from both directions and traffic will be diverted to the adjacent lane.

The Department of Public Works apologizes for the unavoidable inconvenience that will be caused and invites the public to show the necessary understanding and comply with the temporary road signs and the instructions of the Police.
