Pavement maintenance on the Nicosia - Limassol motorway
From Monday 27/11/2023 until Thursday 30/11/2023, between the hours of 11:00 p.m. and 6 a.m. of the following day, work will be carried out to clear the carriageway of the central lane of the Nicosia - Limassol motorway (A1), from the "Kalispera lights" to Skarinou.
During the execution of the works, the sweeper will be accompanied by two vehicles with traffic lights for the safety of both workers and other road users.
Pavement maintenance on the old Nicosia - Limassol road and the Kornou - Delikipou road
From Sunday 26/11/2023, between the hours of 6 a.m. - 6:00 p.m, on the old Nicosia - Limassol road and on the Kornou - Delikipou road, road maintenance works will be carried out by the Water Development Department.
During the execution of the works, part of the roads will be partially closed as follows:
[A](a) the junction of the Nicosia - Limassol, Kornou - Delikipou and towards Pyrga roads,
(b) part of the Old Nicosia - Limassol Road, from its junction with the roads towards Kornou and Pyrga, in the direction towards Limassol, for a length of approximately 150 metres;
(c) part of the Cornu - Delikipou road from its junction with the Old Nicosia - Limassol Road, in the direction towards Corno, for a length of 900 metres;
(c) part of the Cornu - Delikipou road from its junction with the Old Nicosia - Limassol Road, in the direction towards Corno, for a length of 900 metres.
In all three cases, traffic will move in the adjacent lane using STOP & GO.
Work to collect plastic bags from the central island of the Nicosia - Limassol motorway (A1), from the Alambra exit to Skarinou.
On Saturday 25/11/2023, between the hours of 6 a.m.p.m. - 12:00 p.m. plastic bag removal works will be carried out from the central island of the Nicosia - Limassol motorway (A1), from the exit of Alambra to Skarinou.
During the execution of the works, the lane next to the central island will be closed in sections for a length of approximately 100m.
Works by a private company on Makarios III Avenue in Larnaca
On Thursday 23/11/2023 and Friday 24/11/2023, between the hours of 6 a.m. - 5:00 p.m,
During the execution of the works, a section of one lane of the road will be closed for a length of 50m, in the direction from the city centre to the "Limaniu" roundabout and traffic will be diverted to the adjacent lane.
Cable connection works in Cyta manholeson the Larnaca Airport - Ayia Napa motorway (A3)
On Wednesday 22/11/2023, between the hours of 08:30 am - 10:30 am, on the Larnaca Airport - Ayia Napa (A3) motorway, cable connection works will be carried out on Cyta manholes by a private telecommunications company.
During the execution of the works, part of the right lane of the motorway will be closed for 200m in the direction from Ayia Napa to Larnaca (600m before the exit to Aradippou) and traffic will be diverted to the adjacent lane.
The Department of Public Works apologizes for the inevitable inconvenience that may be caused and invites the public to show the necessary understanding and compliance with the temporary road signs.
