The Nicosia District Engineer's Office, Department of Public Works, Ministry of Transport, Communications and Works announces that on Saturday 18/05/2024, between the hours of 07:00-16:00, on Gρήγοris Afxentiou Avenue, Nicosia, at the height of the junction with Zalokosta and Nikolaos Saripolou streets and for a distance of approximately 100 meters, trench excavation works will be carried out for the installation of an underground cable of the AHK.
During the execution of the works, Grigori Afxentiou Avenue, in both directions to and from the centre of Nicosia, will remain closed to traffic and traffic will be routed through Zalokosta, Pavlou Kalliga and Nikolaos Saripolou streets.
2. Triathlon race in Larnaca District
The Larnaca District Engineer's Office, Department of Public Works, Ministry of Transport, Communications and Works announces that on Sunday 19/05/2024, between the hours of 07:30-10:30, a triathlon race will be held on Artemis Avenue and Tasos Mitsopoulos Street, in Larnaca.
During the event, the section of Artemis Avenue from the light-controlled junction with Tasos Mitsopoulos Avenue to the roundabout to the Control Tower in the direction of Larnaca Airport will be closed and traffic will be diverted in the opposite direction, which will operate in two-way traffic.
At the same time, the section of Tasos Mitsopoulos Street, from its junction with Filopappou Street in the direction of and up to its junction with Artemis Avenue, will be closed and traffic will be routed via adjacent roads.
The Department of Public Works apologizes for the unavoidable inconvenience that will be caused and invites the public to show the necessary understanding and comply with the temporary road signs and the instructions of the Police.
