1. Cleaning of central islands by the Municipality of Larnaca
The Larnaca District Engineer's Office, Department of Public Works, Ministry of Transport, Communications and Works, announces that, during the period 20 September to 31 October 2023, between the hours of 08:00 to 17:00, daily except weekends and public holidays, on Famagusta Avenue, Tassos Papadopoulos, Dimitris Christofias, Spyros Kyprianou, Alexandros Panagoulis, Independence, Giannou Kranidiotis, Limassol, Nikos and Despina Pattichi, Georgios Christodoulides and European Union of Larnaca District, the Municipality of Larnaca will carry out cleaning works of the central islands.
During the execution of the works, the adjacent lane of the central island will be closed from both directions and traffic will be directed to the adjacent lane.
2. Cable pulling works in Cyta manholes on the Larnaca Airport - Paralimnios motorway
The Larnaca District Engineer's Office, Department of Public Works, Ministry of Transport, Communications and Works, announces that on 23, 24, 30 September and 1 October 2023, between 06:30 to 16:00, on the Larnaca Airport - Paralimnios motorway (A3) and at the Xylofagos exit (E335), cable pulling works on Cyta manholes will be carried out by a private telecommunications company.
During the works, part of the fast lane of the A3 motorway will be closed for a distance of 11km. At the Xylofagou exit the works will be carried out on the road shoulder and traffic will be diverted to the adjacent lane.
The Department of Public Works apologizes for the unavoidable inconvenience that will be caused and invites the public to show the necessary understanding and comply with the temporary road signs and the instructions of the Police.
3. The Limassol District Engineer's Office, Department of Public Works, Ministry of Transport, Communications and Works, announces that, during the period from 25 to 26 September 2023, between the hours of 21:00 until 05:30 in the morning of the following day, on the Limassol Bypass Road on the air bridge of the Mesa Gitonia junction, maintenance works on the expansion joint of the bridge will be carried out by a private company.
During the works, one lane of the road towards Nicosia will be partially closed for a length of approximately 1000m. Traffic will be diverted to the other lane.
4. Maintenance works of the asphalt pavement on the A1 motorway (Nicosia - Limassol, and Limassol - Nicosia)
The Nicosia District Engineer's Office, Department of Public Works, Ministry of Transport, Communications and Works, announces that on Monday 25 September 2023 and Tuesday 26 September 2023, between the hours of 20:00 until 05:30 in the morning of the following day, asphalt road maintenance works will be carried out on the A1 motorway (Nicosia - Limassol, and Limassol - Nicosia) in both directions, from Nissou to Alambra (Ayia Varvara flyover to Kotsiati exit).
During the execution of the works, one lane will be partially closed for a length of approximately 200m and traffic will be diverted to the adjacent lanes.
The Department of Public Works apologizes for the unavoidable inconvenience that will be caused and invites the public to show the necessary understanding and comply with the temporary road signs and the instructions of the Police.
