1. Closed section of Hippocrates Avenue, in Lakatameia
The Project Engineering Office of Hippocrates Avenue, Argyroupolis Avenue and part of Cheriou Avenue and Strovolos Street, Department of Public Works, Ministry of Transport, Communications and Works announces that from Saturday 7/10/2023 at 07:00 and for a period of 15 months, as part of the improvement/construction of the above avenues, Hippocrates Avenue will be temporarily closed from its junction with Cappadocia and Cheriou Streets.
Traffic from and to the Municipality of Cheriou will be routed via Cappadocia, Propontis, Antiochia and Themistocleous Streets, while traffic from and to the Municipality of Strovolos will be routed via Karavostasiou, Karavas and Kythnos Streets.
2. Work on the installation of a camera network at the light-controlled junction of Spyros Kyprianou and Luther King Avenues, in Larnaca
The Ministry of Transport, Communications and Works, Department of Public Works, Larnaca District Engineer's Office announces that on Saturday 7/10/2023 and Sunday 8/10/2023, between 06:00-18:00, at the light-controlled junction of Spyros Kyprianou and Luther King Avenues, in Larnaca, work will be carried out by a private company to install a traffic camera network.
During the works, the affected lanes in all four directions of the junction will be closed alternately and traffic will be moved to the adjacent lane with the assistance of appropriate signage and the Police.
The Department of Public Works apologizes for the unavoidable inconvenience that will be caused and urges the public to show due understanding and comply with temporary road markings and Police instructions.
