1. Pruning and watering works on the Larnaca - Kofinou and Airport - Rizoelia motorways
The Larnaca District Engineer's Office, Department of Public Works, Ministry of Transport, Communications and Works announces that during the period 2/10/2023 - 30/11/2023, daily except weekends, between 08:30-14:30, on the Larnaca - Kofinou and Larnaca Airport - Rizoelia motorways, in both directions, tree pruning and watering works will be carried out on the roadside by the Forestry Department.
During the works, the motorway embankment will be closed in sections, 300 metres at a time, without lane closures.
2. The Larnaca District Engineer's Office, Department of Public Works, Ministry of Transport, Communications and Works announces that during the period 2/10/2023 - 19/10/2023, daily Monday to Thursday, between the hours of 08:30-15:30, on the following motorways of Larnaca District, the Department of Forests will carry out watering operations of the plants of the central islands:
(a) on the Larnaca - Kofinou motorway, heading towards Kofinou, (b) on the Larnaca - Nicosia motorway, from the Rizoelia roundabout towards Nicosia, and (c) on the Paralimnios - Larnaca motorway, from the Rizoelia roundabout towards Larnaca Airport.
During the execution of the works, the adjacent lane of the central island will be closed in sections, for a length of approximately 1500m at a time, and traffic will be diverted to the adjacent lane.
3. The Nicosia - Limassol motorway, Nissou area
The Nicosia District Engineer's Office, Department of Public Works, Ministry of Transport, Communications and Works announces that on Wednesday 27/9/2023, between the hours of 20:00 and 05:30 the following day, asphalt road maintenance works will be carried out on the A1 motorway (Nicosia - Limassol), from the Pera Chorio Nissou exit to the Ayia Varvara flyover.
During the execution of the works, it will be closed in sections over a length of 200m. The Department of Public Works apologizes for the inevitable inconvenience that will be caused and invites the public to show the necessary understanding and comply with the temporary road signs and the instructions of the Police.
