1. The Larnaca District Engineer's Office, Department of Public Works, Ministry of Transport, Communications and Works announces that, within the framework of the construction works of Phase 1 of the Vasilikos Energy Centre Road Network, on Friday 22/9/2023 from 18:00 until 18:00 on Sunday 24/9/2023, asphalt paving works will be carried out on a section of the road Zygios - Vasilikos Port - Mari, from the height of the VTTV terminal to the roundabout of Vasilikos Port, which will be closed to traffic in both directions. The entrance to Vasilikos Port will be open.
During the execution of the works, traffic will be served by the old highway through Mari and the bypass road within the Energy Centre. Vehicular and pedestrian movement on adjacent roads and properties will be handled with appropriate local arrangements.
2. Closed lane on the Limassol - Paphos motorway, Limassol New Ground area
The Department of Public Works, Ministry of Transport, Communications and Works announces that, as part of the construction of the new road network in the area of Limassol New Ground, the left lane of the Limassol - Paphos motorway towards Limassol after the new exit to the Stadium will be closed for the period from 25/9/2023 to 29/9/2023.
3. Excavation and network installation works at the light-controlled intersection of S. Kyprianou and A. Panagouli, in Larnaca
The Larnaca District Engineer's Office, Department of Public Works, Ministry of Transport, Communications and Works announces that on Saturday 23/9/2023 and Sunday 24/9/2023, between the hours of 06:00 - 20:00, at the light-controlled intersection of Spyros Kyprianou and Alexandros Panagoulis Avenues, work will be carried out by a private construction company at the light-controlled intersection of Spyros Kyprianou and Alexandros Panagoulis Avenues to excavate small excavations and install a network for the operation of traffic cameras.
During the execution of the works, the left lane will be closed on a rotating basis in all (4) directions of the confluence and traffic will be directed to the right lane with the help of appropriate road signs and the presence of the Police.
The Department of Public Works apologizes for the unavoidable inconvenience that will be caused and urges the public to show due understanding and comply with the temporary road markings and the instructions of the Police.
