1. Joining of existing cables on the Limassol-Lekosia motorway, Skarinou area
The Nicosia District Public Works Engineer's Office, Ministry of Transport, Communications and Works announces that on Tuesday 5/9/2023 at 21:00 until 05:00 of the following day 6/9/2023, between Skarinou Junction and the Pentaschinos Bridge on the Limassol-Lefkosia highway, a private company will carry out work on the connection of existing cables.
During the execution of the works, the right lane of the Limassol-Lefkosia motorway towards Nicosia will be closed for approximately 700 metres and traffic will be diverted to the left lane.
2. The Department of Public Works, Limassol District Engineer's Office, Ministry of Transport, Communications and Works announces that on Thursday 31/8/2023, between the hours of 20:00 to 07:00 the following day, a private company will carry out construction works of an elevated pedestrian crossing on Agia Filaxeos Street, next to Crete Street.
During the execution of the works, the ascent of Agia Fylaxis Street from its light-controlled junction with Archbishop Makarios C' Avenue to Crete Street will be closed and traffic will be routed via Archbishop Makarios C' Avenue and the secondary road network.
3. The Limassol District Engineer's Office, Department of Public Works, Ministry of Transport, Communications and Works announces that, during the period 5/9/2023-14/9/2023, between the hours of 22:00-05:30 of the following day, excluding Friday and weekend, on the Limassol-Lekosia motorway (A1), work will be carried out to replace anti-glare curtains on the safety parapet of the central island of the road.
During the works, the express lane will be partially closed in one direction only for a length of approximately 1500m and traffic will be diverted to the slow lane.

During the execution of the works, one lane of traffic will be closed for a length of approximately 100m and traffic will be directed to the adjacent lane with the Stop & Go system.

The Larnaca District Engineer's Office, Department of Public Works, Ministry of Transport, Communications and Works announces that during the period 1/9/2023-6/9/2023, except weekends, between 07:00-15:00, work will be carried out for cleaning the lined grooves on the roadbed of the Larnaca-Agias Napa motorway, in the direction from Larnaca Airport to the second exit Xylofagou.
During the execution of the works, the motorway shoulder will be partially closed and traffic will remain in the lanes without the shoulder.
6. The Larnaca-Agias Napa motorway (direction to Larnaca Airport)
The Larnaca District Engineer's Office, Department of Public Works, Ministry of Transport, Communications and Works, announces that during the period 7/9/2023-12/9/2023, except on weekends, between 07:00-15:00, work will be carried out for cleaning the lined grooves on the roadbed of the Ayia Napa-Larnaca motorway from the second exit Xylofagou to Larnaca Airport.
During the execution of the works, the motorway embankment will be closed in sections and traffic will remain on the lanes without the embankment.
The Department of Public Works apologizes for the unavoidable inconvenience that will be caused and urges the public to show due understanding and comply with temporary road markings and police instructions.
