The Ministry of Energy, Trade and Industry announces that work has commenced on the Glaucus-2 appraisal well in Block 10 of the Exclusive Economic Zone of the Republic of Cyprus, by the consortium of ExxonMobil Exploration and Production Cyprus (Offshore) Limited and Qatar Petroleum International Upstream LLC, which holds a Hydrocarbon Exploration Licence for this Block.
The drilling operations, which are being carried out by the drillship "Stena Forth", will be monitored on a continuous basis by the staff of the Hydrocarbons Service of the Ministry of Energy, Trade and Industry.
