The Water Development Department (TAY) informs the public that the drinking water supply in the following areas will be reduced due to the shutdown of the Vasilikos Desalination Plant for emergency works during the weekend (27-28/07/2024).
The water supply of these areas has already started to be partially covered by the Tersefano Refinery and the Larnaca Desalination Plant.
Due to the high demand for water during the weekend, but also due to the high temperatures prevailing during this period, the public is requested to limit water use to a minimum.
Both the Manager of the Vasilikos Desalination Plant and TAY are making every effort to fully restore the water supply.
