The United Nations Press Office issued the following statement on Thursday, 21/03/2024, regarding Mr Guterres' meeting with the President of the Republic of Cyprus.
"The Secretary-General met with the President of the Republic of Cyprus, Mr. Nicos Christodoulides, on the margins of his participation in the European Council in Brussels, Belgium.
They exchanged views on the Cyprus problem as well as other regional developments. The Secretary General thanked Cyprus for its key role in facilitating the creation of a sea corridor to provide much needed humanitarian assistance to Gaza."
