The Department of Registrar of Companies and Intellectual Property announces that the deadline for registration of data in the Register of Beneficial Owners maintained by the Department for companies or other legal entities established or registered before 14 August 1974 and had its seat or place of business or all its property in an occupied or inaccessible territory and has not since then carried on business in the free territories and which falls within the category of companies as defined in Article 391A of the Companies Act Cap.113 and Note 2 of the Special Provision of Law 149(I)/1999, is extended until 30 September 2024 due to the specific nature of these companies.
Finally, it is emphasized that as of October 1, 2024, non-compliance will result in the imposition of administrative and other sanctions in accordance with the provisions of the Prevention and Combating of Money Laundering Act and C.P.112/21, as amended and in force.
