The Department of Public Works, Ministry of Transport, Communications and Works announces that on 27 December 2023 six digital signs with variable road safety messages were put into operation on both directions of the Paphos - Polis Chrysochous (B7) road.
The above Project concerns the supply, installation and operation of a system of digital signs with variable road safety messages on the Pafos - Polis Chrysochous (B7) road of the Pafos District. The project also provides for the training of operators in the use of the system.

The aim of the project is to improve road safety by displaying in colours the speed of the oncoming vehicle in combination with happy or sad faces (happy & frown face), depending on the speed of each vehicle and the speed limit at each point.
