[PIO] Announcement of the Ports Authority regarding the visit of the President of Italy to the Port of Limassol

On Tuesday, February 27, the President of the Italian Republic, Mr. Sergio Mattarella, visited the port of Limassol, accompanied by the Chief of the General Staff of the Italian Navy, Mr. Enrico Credendino, in order to inspect the frigate "Carlo Bergamini", which participates in the operation "Safe Mediterranean". Anthimos Christodoulides, welcomed the President of the Italian Republic to Cyprus and the Port of Limassol, stressing the strong historical ties that link the two countries, as well as the desire of the Port Authority to further enhance the prospects of cooperation in the fields of port activities and developments between the two countries.

In appreciation of the long friendship and cooperation between Italy and Cyprus, the President of the Port Authority presented the Italian President with the anniversary scrapbook of the historian and archaeologist Ms. Anna G. Maragou "Seas of Cyprus, Charters, Ports and Boats (13th - 19th century)" published by the Cyprus Ports Authority.
