The Ministry of Energy, Trade and Industry (MoEIC) in cooperation with the Republic of Cyprus Trade Centre in Vienna and the Cyprus Chamber of Commerce and Industry organised on 6 December 2023 a Business Forum in Vienna, aiming to promote Cyprus as an international business centre.
The programme of the Forum, which was attended by the representatives of 10 Cypriot companies as part of the business delegation from Cyprus, included presentations by the Ministry of Foreign Affairs and representatives of Cypriot companies, during which the competitive advantages of Cyprus in the services sector were highlighted. This was followed by personal meetings (B2B) of Cypriot companies with their Austrian counterparts in order to explore potential partnerships.
The Business Forum, which took place at the premises of the Austrian Federal Chamber of Economy, was attended by representatives of more than 85 Austrian companies and the Ambassador of the Republic of Cyprus to Austria Mr. Andreas Ignatiou. In addition, representatives from another 25 companies from Austria came to the premises of the Austrian Chamber to hold personal meetings (B2B) with the representatives of Cypriot companies.
