The Department of Agriculture, Ministry of Agriculture, Rural Development and Environment, announces that as of tomorrow, 13 June 2024, it is accepting claims for damage caused by the fire that affected the above communities.Damage Declaration forms are available at the offices of the Paphos and Polis Chrysochous District Agricultural Offices and the Community Councils of the affected communities, as well as on the website of the Department of Agriculture, under the "Plans and Applications" section.
Owners, tenants or managers of affected farms are requested to submit a properly completed Damage Declaration Form no later than July 5, 2024 to their local District Agricultural Offices.
If, for reasons of force majeure, the beneficiary is unable to submit the Damage Declaration within the deadline, it may be submitted by proxy and in exceptional cases by fax to 25522219 /24202867 or by email to (dagripafos@da.moa.gov.cy). However, in these cases the original Damage Declaration must be submitted as soon as possible to be considered valid.
The relevant form must clearly state the details of the plot (as shown on the Extensive Payment Declaration) and the details of the crop affected. The form must be accompanied by a copy of an Application for Extensive Payments to the COPA for 2024, Registration of the Administrator in the Farmers' Register, Registration in the Livestock Register, Building Permit, Planning Permit, where applicable).

According to the Risk Management in Agricultural Production and Related Matters Act of 2019 (103 I /2019), in all cases of crops where a Crop Declaration is required to be submitted, it should have already been submitted by the affected persons.

It is noted that, according to Law 103 (I)/2019, a farm manager who has paid his/her annual contribution in advance, before the occurrence of any damage, is entitled to aid.
