[PIO] Announcement of the Labour Inspection Department regarding a campaign on safety and health at construction sites

During the months of July, August and September 2024, the Labour Inspection Department of the Ministry of Labour and Social Insurance is conducting a special targeted campaign of inspections of construction sites.

The construction sector is a high-risk sector, with a high Accident Index and the highest Accident Severity Index. In recent years there has been an increase in activity in this sector, which, despite a decrease in the Accident Index, has one of the highest Accident Severity Indexes compared to the other main sectors of economic activity.

The campaign was designed taking into account the infringements detected during inspections of construction sites and the causes of accidents, occupational diseases and dangerous incidents that have occurred in recent years during the execution of work.
