It was with great sadness that the members and staff of the House of Representatives were informed of the death of the respected journalist Georgia Psaria who passed away on May 1, 2024 at the age of 49, who among other things covered parliamentary reporting and was a particularly beloved person in her field and not only.
Georgia Psaria was born on October 26, 1975 in Limassol, originally from Famagusta. She attended Agios Ioannis Lyceum in Limassol. She studied Journalism at Panteion University and worked in print and electronic media, mainly at the newspaper POLITIS and then at RIK. She belonged to the representatives of combat journalism and honoured the industry with the ethics, diligence and correctness of every news item she reported.
In the last few months he fought a battle with cancer, which he faced with vigour and dignity.
The news of her death has caused immense grief in the world of journalism and beyond. The House of Representatives expresses its sincere condolences to her loved ones.
