[PIO] Announcement of the Fire Service regarding a fire in a school bus near the roundabout of Aglantzia Avenue

At 7:22 a.m. the Akropolis Fire Station received a call about a fire that broke out in a moving school bus near the roundabout of Aglantzia Avenue. Two fire engines were used to extinguish the fire.

The fire started at the rear of the bus, in the engine compartment, and extended into the interior of the bus. The bus driver noticed the fire in time and parked the bus. All students exited safely.

The fire was brought under control at 7:36 a.m.

An investigation into the cause of the fire will follow at a later stage in conjunction with the Police and the Electrical Engineering Department.
