A fire broke out in a bus of the OSEA, which was in motion on the road Ayia Napa - Dhekelia, near the roundabout of Ayia Napa. The Fire Service was called at 13:30.
Two fire trucks from the Famagusta Fire Station Sergeant Adamou Adamou responded.
According to the driver, the fire appears to have started in the engine compartment at the rear of the vehicle and after it was noticed, he parked the vehicle and all occupants exited to safety in a timely manner.
The bus sustained extensive damage. The cause of the fire will be investigated in conjunction with the Police and the Electrical Engineering Department.
