The Ethics and Sports Protection Committee, after its last meeting, announces the following on the following issues:
1.
The Committee, having studied, evaluated and discussed the above Conclusion, decided to send it to the Attorney General of the Republic, for his own actions.
Due to the sensitive nature of the issues covered by the said Conclusion, the Commission will not make any further communication or statement regarding it and its contents.
2. Extension of the Terms of Reference of the Investigating Officers for a basketball match
The Commission has decided to extend the terms of reference of Investigating Officers Mary Olivia McCluskey and Katerina Sofokleous, to investigate, in addition to the HSAD-APOEL match, the HSAD-APOP PAFOS match, which took place on 21/1/2022, for which information was received regarding the possibility of manipulation.
The same terms of reference that were set for the HSAD-APOEL match are extended to cover the HSAD-APOP PAFOU match.
3. Extension of the Terms of Reference of the Investigating Officers for rally matches
The Commission decided, following a complaint and its assessment, to extend the Terms of Reference of the Investigating Officers Hercules Agathokleous and Marinos Armeytis, so that the investigation would also cover other relevant sporting events. In particular, the Investigating Officers are requested to investigate all rally races organised within the Cyprus Automobile Federation, within 2021, for possible incompatibility of certain persons and/or possible commission of disciplinary and/or other offences.
