The Educational Service Commission, following its announcement dated 5.1.2024 regarding the above matter, announces the following part-time appointments for the staffing of the Optional Day Schools, with effect from 9.1.2024.
Please note that:
(a) Part-time contract appointments shall be made on the basis of educational need. The offer of appointment shall be made for the specific placement. Candidates for appointment are selected on the basis of their order of priority on the relevant appointment and/or appointment lists. It is emphasized that no change/improvement will be made for any reason.
A written offer of appointment will be sent to the candidates below.
[C] Part-time fixed-term appointments will expire on May 31, 2024.
(d) Those employed in a replacement position who were appointed on a part-time contract shall, in the event they accept such appointment, be required to terminate their employment as replacements. Note that those who accept a part-time contract will be disqualified from seeking appointment as a substitute in public schools for the period 9.1.2024 - 31.5.2024.
In addition, the following candidates must obtain from the appropriate Police Department office and submit to the Commission, via email at info@eey.gov.cy within 7 days of the date of the notice of appointment, the following certificates:
(a) A certificate issued in accordance with the Prevention and Combating of Sexual Abuse, Sexual Exploitation of Children and Child Pornography Act (Law 91(I)/2014, Article 22(6)), certifying that they are not included in the register maintained under the provisions of that Article. It is emphasized that the said certificate must have been issued within the last two months from the effective date of the appointment.
(b) A certificate of clean criminal record which must have been issued within the last two months from the effective date of appointment.
It is stressed that no offer of appointment letter will be sent to a candidate who fails to submit the above mentioned certificates.
It is clarified that if such person is not a Cypriot citizen, he/she will be required to produce the relevant certificates from the competent authority of his/her country.
