The Education Service Commission announces that in accordance with section 28BB(10) of the Public Education Service Acts 1969 to 2021, today, 29 March 2024, were posted at the Commission's Office (New Government Offices Complex,

Michalakis Karaoli Street, 1408 Nicosia) and on the official website of the Commission revised lists of appointed teachers and special lists of appointed teachers with disabilities, by subject.

These lists/lists include those who have submitted an application/expression of interest to the Commission by 31.8.2023, it has been approved, and have passed a written examination conducted by the Examination Service of the Ministry of Education, Sports and Youth.

These tables/lists do not show the full names of candidates for the purposes of protecting sensitive personal data relating to the results of the written tests. Instead, the year of the test and the card number of the successful candidates are shown. It is clarified that the marks shown in the tables/lists are as forwarded to the Commission by the Examination Service, which is responsible under the Act and Regulations for preparing the examination papers, organising and conducting the written examinations, extracting the results and forwarding them to the Commission after they have been validated by the competent authority and the three-member supervisory body.

It is noted that in accordance with Regulation 7 of the Written Examinations for Registration and Placement on the Appointment Rolls Regulations 2017 and 2019, in the event that a candidate has re-attended a written examination and has not achieved an improvement in his/her marks, he/she retains the previous higher mark and the candidate number corresponding to that mark.

The March 2024 appointment lists take into account applications and requests (for recognition of seniority, granting of additional credits, etc.) submitted to the Commission's Office up to 31.8.2023.

Pursuant to Section 28BB (11) of the above Acts, objections to the above tables/lists may be filed with the Commission within a period of fifteen days from the date of their posting i.e. from March 29 to April 12, 2024.

It is emphasised that the Commission has no jurisdiction or authority to access the examination papers and the examination process in general and therefore does not entertain objections regarding the marking of written examinations.

Objections should only be submitted electronically by completing the online form EEY16. Late objections will not be considered.
