The Road Transport Department of the Ministry of Transport, Communications and Works announces that on Tuesday, 14 May 2024, the periodic technical inspection for motorcycles (two-wheeled, three-wheeled and four-wheeled) came into force.
To this end, to date, 16 Private Vehicle Technical Inspection Centres (VTCs) have been licensed, which are listed in the list posted on the website of the Road Transport Department
From 14 May 2024, the registration or re-registration of a used motorcycle will only be carried out after a successful technical inspection and presentation of the certificate of eligibility.
In order to ensure road safety, all registered motorcycles will be called for a technical inspection. Owners of registered motorcycles will be informed of the time within which they will have their vehicle checked by sending a message (sms) and are therefore invited to update their contact details by registering at online services of the Department of Road Transport.
