1. Construction works on the Limassol - Nicosia motorway
The Limassol District Engineer's Office, Department of Public Works, Ministry of Transport, Communications and Works, announces that during the period from Monday 29/1/2024 to Friday 9/2/2024, between 08:30 - 15:00, the construction of an emergency crossing on the Limassol - Nicosia motorway near the Kalavasos Bridge, for the needs of the project "Upgrade / Repair of the Kalavasos Bridge".
During the execution of the works, the express lanes in both directions of the motorway will be closed for a length of approximately 200m and traffic will be diverted to the slow lanes.
The Department of Public Works apologizes for the unavoidable inconvenience that will be caused and urges the public to show due understanding and to comply with the temporary road signs and police instructions.
2. Works maintenance of the greenery of the central islands by the Municipality of Lakatameia.
The Nicosia District Public Works Engineer's Office, Department of Public Works, Ministry of Transport, Communications and Works, announces that from Wednesday 31/1/2024 to Friday 16/2/2024, between 09:00 - 12:45, on parts of Makarios III Avenue, Pantelis Katelaris, Melina Mercouri and Agios Georgios, green maintenance works will be carried out by the Municipality of Lakatameia on the central islands.
During the execution of the works, the adjacent traffic lane of the central island will be partially closed for a length of approximately 100 - 200 m. at a time and traffic will be diverted to the adjacent traffic lane.
The Department of Public Works apologizes for the unavoidable inconvenience that will be caused and urges the public to show due understanding and to comply with the temporary road signs and the instructions of the Police.
