[PIO] Announcement of the Department of Public Works for road works in the context of the construction of the road network of Vasilikos Energy Centre

The Larnaca District Engineer's Office, Department of Public Works, Ministry of Transport, Communications and Works announces that, as part of the construction works of Phase 1 of the Vasilikos Energy Centre Road Network, on Thursday 28/9/2023, between 06:00-18:00, asphalt paving works will be carried out on a section of the road within the Vasilikos Energy Centre, northwest of the Vasilikos Cement Plant, which will be closed to traffic in both directions, from the height of the AHK substation to the Mari-Vasiliko-Zygi road. The Mari-Vassiliko-Zygi road will be open to traffic in both directions.

During the execution of the works, traffic will be served by a bypass road within the Energy Centre. The movement of vehicles and pedestrians on adjacent roads and properties will be handled with appropriate local arrangements.

The Department of Public Works apologizes for the unavoidable inconvenience that will be caused and urges the public to show due understanding and comply with temporary road markings and police instructions.
