[PIO] Announcement of the Department of Public Works for road works in Larnaca District

1. Asphalting works on sections of the Zygiou-Limaniu-Vasiliko-Mari road

The Larnaca District Engineer's Office, Department of Public Works, Ministry of Transport, Communications and Works announces that, as part of the construction works of Phase 1 of the Vasiliko Energy Centre Road Network, during the coming weekend, asphalt paving works will be carried out on sections of the Zygios-Limanios Vasiliko-Mari road, as follows:

- On Saturday, 16 September 2023, from 06:00 to 18:00, the section of the Zygios-Limanios Vasilikos-Mari road from the height of the Vasilikos River to the main entrance of the Vasilikos port, which will remain in operation, will be closed to traffic in both directions.

- On Sunday, 17 September 2023, from 06:00, the section of the Zygios-Limanios Vasilikos-Mari road from the height of the Blue Island company facilities to the main entrance of Vasilikos port, which will be closed, will be closed to traffic in both directions.

During the execution of the works, traffic will be served by the old motorway through Mari and the bypass road within the Energy Centre. The movement of vehicles and pedestrians on adjacent roads and properties will be subject to appropriate local arrangements.

The Department of Public Works apologizes for the unavoidable inconvenience that will be caused and urges the public to show due understanding and comply with temporary road markings and police instructions.
