1. Pruning works on the Larnaca - Kofinou motorway
The Larnaca District Engineer's Office, Department of Public Works, Ministry of Transport, Communications and Works announces that during the period 4/3/2024 - 12/4/2024, excluding weekends, between the hours of 8:00 - 15:00, work will be carried out for cutting/pruning and picking acacia and other trees from the embankments and slopes along the entire length of the Larnaca - Kofinou motorway in both directions, including the junctions.
During the execution of the works, the motorway embankment will be closed in sections and traffic will remain in the lanes as normal without the embankment.
2. Works on avenues in Larnaca District
The Larnaca District Engineer's Office, Department of Public Works, Ministry of Transport, Communications and Works announces that cable pulling works will be carried out in manholes on General Timaya, Giannou Kranidiotis and Grivas Digenis Avenues in Larnaca District by a private telecommunications company, as follows:
(a) On Sunday 3/3/2024, between the hours of 7:00 - 16:00, on parts of General Timaya Avenue from its junction with Hanum Street until its junction with Giannou Kranidiotis Avenue and on parts of Giannou Kranidiotis Avenue from its junction with General Timaya Avenue until its junction with Grivas Digenis Avenue.
(b) On Sunday 10/3/2024, between the hours of 7:00 - 16:00, on parts of Giannou Kranidiotis Avenue from its junction with General Timaya Avenue until its junction with Grivas Digenis Avenue and on parts of Grivas Digenis Avenue.
During the execution of the works, part of the left lane of the roads will be closed, locally over manholes and traffic will be directed to the adjacent lane, using STOP & GO signs.
3. Works on Andreas Sourouklis Avenue in the Municipality of Livadia
The Larnaca District Engineer's Office, Department of Public Works, Ministry of Transport, Communications and Works announces that on Thursday 29/2/2024, between the hours of 8:30 - 15:00, along Andreas Suruklis Avenue, Larnaca District, grass cutting works will be carried out by the Municipality of Livadia, along the road embankments.
During the execution of the works, on a section of the Avenue from its junction with Ioannis Damaskinos Street to its exit to the Larnaca - Ayia Napa motorway in both directions, part of the embankment will be closed, in sections over a length of 500 metres at a time. Traffic will not be affected.
The Department of Public Works apologizes for the unavoidable inconvenience that will be caused and invites the public to show the necessary understanding and comply with the temporary road signs and the instructions of the Police.
