[PIO] Announcement of the Department of Modern and Contemporary Culture for the programme of SESSIONS x SPEL

The Department of Modern and Contemporary Culture of the Deputy Ministry of Culture informs the public about the programme of the SESSIONS x SPEL series of curatorial events, which will take place at the State Gallery of Contemporary Art until December 2023.

Theatre and dance performances, screenings, workshops, lectures, concerts and parties, weekly meetings and discussions will flood the State Gallery of Contemporary Art - SPEL until the end of the year, presenting a wide range of projects that honour the multiplicity of interpretation and engagement, starting on 2 September 2023 with the opening of Theatro, an interactive installation for action, participation and testimony that will host the official programme of Quir actions.

At the same time, the Cerebral Gym programme curated by Loizos Olybios will start with a separate programme of actions with a central focus on the Reading Room, the anti-collection of queer printed material, dealing with archival and publishing practices, on the third floor.

The programme will start with the performance Dirt is for evry1!!!! with 16 participating artists, and weekly Cloud Transmissions meetings continue every Thursday on the rooftop at 8:20 p.m.
