[PIO] Announcement of the Department of Geological Survey for a significant earthquake recorded today

The Geological Survey Department of the Ministry of Agriculture, Rural Development and Environment, announces that today, Friday, August 18, 2023 at 14:09 local time, an earthquake of magnitude M=3 was recorded by the seismological network of the Department.0 on the Richter scale.

The earthquake had its epicentre in the land area 10 kilometres northwest of the city of Limassol and a focal depth of eight kilometres, while it was felt particularly in the Limassol district.
