The Department of Antiquities of the Ministry of Culture announces that on Wednesday 4 October 2023, at 19:00, a recital for voice and guitar entitled "Airs Méditerranées/Mediterranean Sounds" with soprano Mariza Anastasiades and guitarist Socrates Lepto will take place at the Cyprus Museum. Admission will be free to the public. The event is organized as part of the events of the Department of Antiquities to promote the opening hours of the Cyprus Museum every first Wednesday of the month, when the museum is open to the public from 08:00 to 20:00, with free admission.
Guitarist Socrates Leptos and soprano Mariza Anastasiades have put together a unique programme spanning from the 16th century to the present day, and promise to take the audience on a magical journey through Mediterranean Europe. With the magical melodies of Vail, García Lorca, Puyol, De Fallais and Obradors, listeners will be transported to a world where passion, poetry and dream landscapes are at the heart of the action, where the rich textures of the guitar and the soprano's expressive vocals merge into an unforgettable sonic experience.
