The annual meeting of the "ReferNet" Cyprus Consortium took place on 1 February 2024 at the offices of the Cyprus Human Resources Development Authority (CDA).The Consortium has 21 members from ministries, deputy ministries, government departments, employers' and trade union organisations, non-profit organisations and national units of European programmes. The meeting was organised jointly with the Directorate of Secondary Technical and Vocational Education and Training (DMEEK) of the Ministry of Education, Sports and Youth (MTEY), which has assumed the role of National Coordinator of the "ReferNet" Cyprus Network for the period 2024 - 2027. AnAD held the role of National Coordinator of the Network for the period 2004 - 2023.
During the meeting, in addition to the exchange of views between the members on vocational education and training issues, a review of the Consortium's work during the year 2023 and the work planning for the year 2024 took place.
ReferNet is a network of European organizations consisting of the Member States of the European Union, Iceland and Norway.
The "ReferNet" is a network of European organizations consisting of the Member States of the European Union, Iceland and Norway. The network provides the European Centre for the Development of Vocational Training (Cedefop) with information and analysis on national education and training systems. In addition, it is responsible for disseminating information on European education and training and Cedefop's work.
