Constituting the Senate
Pursuant to Article 28 of the Law, the Senate of the Cyprus Academy of Sciences, Letters and Arts is composed of nine Full Members, namely the President, the Vice-President and the Secretary General, the respective Presidents of the three Classes and one Ordinary Member from each Class, elected by the respective Class.
The first Senate of the Academy was constituted as follows. Aimylianides - President
Georgios Hadjigeorgiou - Vice President
Kyriakos Demetriou - General Secretary
Marios Polycarpou - President of the Class of Sciences
Elena Mouzala - President of the Class of Arts and Letters
Stavros Fotiou - President of the Class of Ethics
Stavros Fotiou - President of the Class of Ethics, Economic and Political Sciences
Stathis Paparoditis - Representative of the Class of Sciences
Kyriakos Charalambidis - Representative of the Class of Arts and Letters
Leonidas Leonidou - Representative of the Class of Ethics
Leonidas Leonidou - Representative of the Class of Ethics, Economic and Political Sciences
Further, the Classes of the Academy conducted the elections of their Presidencies in accordance with the Regulations, as follows:
