The Assistant Financial Commissioner Ms. Valentina Georgiadou, who is currently deputising for the Financial Commissioner, informs that, due to the need to update the Special Register of Intermediaries maintained at the Office of the Financial Commissioner, she wishes to receive from all those interested a declaration of interest in registering in this register. The declaration of interest should be sent to the e-mail address mediations@financialombudsman.gov.cy by 19/01/2024.
It is noted that those who are registered in the Register of Ombudsmen, which is kept at the Ministry of Justice and Public Order, are entitled to register in the Special Register of Ombudsmen of the Financial Ombudsman. It is understood that the candidate ombudsmen must have received training from the Central Bank of Cyprus on credit facility restructuring issues.
In order for the Central Bank of Cyprus to conduct the relevant training seminars, interested parties are requested to register their interest as above, so that the Central Bank of Cyprus may be informed of the number of interested parties for the purpose of organizing the seminars. It is clarified that those who are not registered in the Registry of the Ministry of Justice and Public Order but are entitled to register may also express their interest, provided that their registration will take place by the date on which the seminars will be determined by the Central Bank of Cyprus.
