The Office of the Chief Humanitarian Affairs Officer for Missing and Trapped Persons announces that on Sunday 9 June 2024, the day of the Elections for Local Authorities, School Board Members and Members of the European Parliament 2024, from 07:00 a.m.from 07:00 a.m. to 6:00 p.m. with a one-hour break from 12:00 p.m. to 1:00 p.m, Facilities will be provided for stranded and resettled persons who are on the special electoral list of stranded persons.

The contact numbers are 22400108 and 22400109.

Interned and resettled persons will vote by presenting their identity card.

1. The interned and resettled voters of the Famagusta constituency will vote as follows. [*]For the nomination of Local Government Authorities of the Parish of Leko Rizokarpaso, at the Deryneia High School Centre C. [*]For the nomination of Members of the European Parliament at Deryneia High School Centre I΄.

2. The displaced and resettled voters of the Kyrenia constituency will vote as follows. [*]For the nomination of Members of the European Parliament at the 3rd Primary School of Agios Dometios Centre O΄.

It should be noted that those who will be in the free areas on the day of the elections and who wish to do so, may be authorised to vote at their nearest polling station, after informing the Office of the Chief Electoral Officer, through the Humanitarian Affairs Department.

For those interned and resettled persons who wish to do so, arrangements have been made for their donated transportation from their occupied villages to and from the above polling stations by bus.
