The Ministry of Transport, Communications and Works announces that in the context of the more effective coverage of the housing needs of the public sector and the rational management of public finances, it has decided to postpone the construction of the new building of the Legal Service.
Therefore, it is hereby announced that the tender under the title "Legal Service of the Republic" under No. A/1/2023(E) has been cancelled today by the Public Works Department, pursuant to Regulation 24(4)(a) of the Public Works Regulations 201/2007, due to limitations of the Financial Margins.
For the same reason, the construction of new buildings for the Ministries of Interior and Transport, Communications and Works in the area of the Archministry was also postponed. In addition, the scope of works will be re-evaluated in relation to the amount of expenditure required for the construction of the State Chemistry and Nicosia District Court buildings, as well as for the energy upgrades of government buildings.
