A gradual decrease in the number of road traffic offences at the points where photo-marking systems are installed, with a simultaneous increase in the number of photo-marking points is observed in the April-June quarter of 2024.
Statistics show an increasing trend in offences during the Easter holidays and weekends. These mainly involve speeding, failure to obey traffic signs and violations of the Road Traffic Code.
The Ministry of Transport, Communications and Works urges all citizens to exercise greater caution and obey the rules of the road. Road safety is everyone's responsibility and the cooperation of all drivers is essential to reduce accidents and improve road safety.
