The Ministry of Justice and Public Order welcomes the launch of the integrated information system of Electronic Justice (e-justice). The integrated operation of the system marks the transition to the new digital era in the field of justice, which is expected to be of great benefit to the operation of the Courts.
The integrated system will undoubtedly enhance the efficiency and quality of our judicial system. Its benefits are many and obvious: Savings in time and costs for all users of the system, greater security in the storage of digitised documents, possibilities for easier searching of files and their simultaneous viewing by more users, security of payments, savings in working hours and better use of staff, direct communication and information for government departments, lawyers and litigants on the progress of cases concerning them.
The Government gives high priority to the reform of the judicial system and actively supports any proposals to reform the judicial system. The use of technology undoubtedly makes a positive contribution to enhancing the quality of justice, addressing, along with other projects, the chronic problem of delays.
The Ministry of Justice and Public Order takes this opportunity to thank the Ministry of State for Research, Innovation and Digital Policy, the Supreme Court and the Pancyprian Bar Association, whose close and harmonious cooperation led to the implementation of this very important and innovative project.
