[PIO] Announcement by the Ministry of Health on new cases of COVID-19, 4 March 2022

The Ministry of Health announces that today, 4 March 2022:

- 4 deaths

- Related to:

  1. Male, aged 68 years, who died on 3 March
  2. Male, aged 83 years, who died on 3 March
  3. Female, aged 79 years, who died on 4 March
  4. Female, aged 90 years, who died on 4 March

- Total number of deaths with a terminal cause of COVID-19: 873.

- 137 COVID-19 patients were hospitalized in OCHS hospitals

- 30 in serious condition (ICU: 1 off ventilator/12 intubated, NICU: 17)

- Percentage of inpatients with no history of vaccination: 57.67%

- 16 patients who ceased to be infectious continue to be intubated due to COVID in an ICU.

Diagnostic tests:

- A total of 107,650 diagnostic tests

- A total of 2,114 new cases were identified (total 329 cases.674)

- Positivity rate in all tests 1.96%

Total number of molecular tests (PCR):[/B]

- 3.659 molecular tests

- 283 positive cases

- Positivity rate 7.73%

Total number of rapid antigen detection tests (RapidTest):

- Performed 103.991 rapid antigen detection tests

- 1.831 positive cases

- Positivity rate 1.76%

Tracing:

- 272 molecular tests were performed and 51 positive cases were identified (positivity rate 18,75%)

- 626 rapid antigen detection tests were performed and 67 positive cases were identified (positivity rate 10.7%)

Private initiative:

- Conducted 1.579 molecular tests, 179 positive cases detected (positivity rate 11.34%)

- 48,563 rapid antigen detection tests performed, 1.121 positive cases (positivity rate 2.31%)

Through the Ministry of Health programmes, 55,428 rapid antigen detection tests were performed. 710 positive cases were detected.

- Sampling points: 17,124 rapid detection tests detected 432 positive cases (positivity rate 2,52%)

Education

- Primary education: 20.607 rapid antigen detection test, 87 positive cases were detected (positivity rate 0.42%)

- Secondary Education: 11.401 rapid detection tests identified 86 positive cases (positivity rate 0.75%)

- Test-to-Stay: 3.779 rapid antigen detection tests were performed and 32 positive cases were detected (positivity rate 0.85%)

Other

Welfare homes: 871 rapid antigen detection tests were performed, 4 positive cases were detected (positivity rate 0.46%)

- Closed facilities: 37 rapid antigen detection tests were performed and no new cases were detected (positivity rate 0%).

- Government services: 890 rapid antigen detection tests were performed and no positive cases were detected (positivity rate 0%)

- Industrial sites: 93 rapid antigen detection tests were performed and 2 positive cases were detected (positivity rate 2,15%)
