[PIO] Announcement by the Ministry of Health on new cases of COVID-19, 15 February 2022

The Ministry of Health announces that today, 15 February 2022:

- 3 deaths

- Related to:

  1. Male, aged 79 years, who died on 14 February
  2. Male, aged 66 years, who died on 14 February
  3. Female, aged 66 years, who died on 15 February

- Total number of deaths with a terminal cause of COVID-19: 791.

- 181 COVID-19 patients hospitalized in OCHS hospitals

- 43 in serious condition (0 in ICU/13 intubated, 30 in PICU)

- Percentage of inpatients with no history of vaccination: 69.62%

- 31 patients who ceased to be infectious continue to be intubated due to COVID in ICU

Diagnostic tests:

- A total of 104,708 diagnostic tests

- A total of 2,646 new cases were identified (total cases 295.686)

- Positivity rate in all tests 2.53%

Total number of molecular tests (PCR): [/B]

- Performed 7.174 molecular tests

- 449 positive cases

- Positivity rate 6.26%

Total number of rapid antigen detection tests (RapidTest):

- 97,534 rapid antigen detection tests

- 2,197 positive cases

- Positivity rate 2.25%

Tracing:

- 510 molecular tests were performed and 89 positive cases were identified (positivity rate 17.45%)

- 1.022 rapid antigen detection tests were performed and 59 positive cases were detected (positivity rate 5,77%)

Private initiative:

- 2,014 molecular tests were performed, 267 positive cases were identified (positivity rate 13.26%)

- 39,711 rapid antigen detection tests were performed, 1.310 positive cases (positivity rate 3.3%)

Through the Ministry of Health programmes, 57,823 rapid antigen detection tests were performed. 887 887 positive cases were detected.

- Sampling points: 16,137rapid detection tests identified 464 positive cases (positivity rate 2.88%)

Education

- Primary education: 20.638 rapid antigen detection tests, 151 positive cases were detected (positivity rate 0.73%)

- Secondary Education: 12.225 rapid detection tests detected 105 positive cases (positivity rate 0.86%)

- Test-to-Stay: 5.386 rapid antigen detection tests and 82 positive cases were detected (positivity rate 1.52%)

Other

- Welfare homes: 1.245 rapid antigen detection tests, 20 positive cases detected (positivity rate 1.61%)

- Closed facilities: 149 rapid antigen detection tests performed; 2new cases detected (positivity rate 1.34%)

- Closed facilities: 2new cases detected (positivity rate 1.34%).

- Government services: 1.021 rapid antigen detection tests were performed and 4 positive cases were identified (positivity rate 0.39%)
