[PIO] Announcement by the Ministry of Health on new cases of COVID-19, 11 March 2022

The Ministry of Health announces that today, 11 March 2022:

- 6 deaths

- Related to:

  1. Female, aged 88, who died on 2 January
  2. Female, aged 29, who died on 8 March
  3. Female, aged 84, who died on 10 March
  4. Female, aged 83, who died on 10 March
  5. Female, aged 93, who died on 11 March
  6. Female, aged 82, who died on 11 March

- Total number of deaths with a terminal cause of COVID-19: 895.

- 107 COVID-19 patients were hospitalized in OCHS hospitals

- 21 in serious condition (ICU: 0 off ventilator/7 intubated, NICU: 14)

-

- Percentage of inpatients with no history of vaccination: 52.34%

- 20 patients who ceased to be infectious continue to be intubated due to COVID in an ICU.

Diagnostic tests:

- A total of 92,720 diagnostic tests

- A total of 3,020 new cases were identified (total cases 347,876).

- Positivity rate in all tests 3.26%

Total number of molecular tests (PCR):

- 4.121 molecular tests

- 339positive cases

- Positivity rate 8.23%

Total number of rapid antigen detection tests (RapidTest):

- Performed 88.599 rapid antigen detection tests

- 2.681 positive cases

- Positivity rate 3.03%

Tracing:

- 459 molecular tests were performed and 55 positive cases were identified (positivity rate 11,98%)

- 761 rapid antigen detection tests were performed and 83 positive cases were identified (positivity rate 10.91%)

Private initiative:

- Conducted 1.656 molecular tests, 231 positive cases detected (positivity rate 13.95%)

- 36,688 rapid antigen detection tests performed, 1.780 positive cases (positivity rate 4.85%)

Through the Ministry of Health programmes, 51,911 rapid antigen detection tests were performed. 901 positive cases were detected.

- Sampling points: 15,542 rapid detection tests detected 582 positive cases (positivity rate 3,74%)

Education

- Primary education: 19.720 rapid antigen detection test, 119 positive cases were detected (positivity rate 0.6%)

- Secondary Education: 10.802 rapid detection tests identified 81 positive cases (positivity rate 0.75%)

- Test-to-Stay: 3.095 rapid antigen detection tests and 29 positive cases were detected (positivity rate 0.94%)

Other

- Welfare homes: 843 rapid antigen detection tests were performed, 2 positive cases detected (positivity rate 0.24%)

- Closed facilities: 145 rapid antigen detection tests were performed, 1 new case detected (positivity rate 0.69%).

- Government services: 1 1.003 rapid antigen detection tests and 4 positive cases were identified (positivity rate 0.4%)
