In light of the latest developments in relation to the unrest in the region centred on Ukraine, the Ministry of Foreign Affairs today issued a relevant Travel Directive which has been posted on the Ministry's website https:/mfa.gov.cy/el/travel-advice/ , advising Cypriot citizens to avoid travelling to Ukraine altogether in the coming period.
In addition, citizens of the Republic of Cyprus residing permanently and/or temporarily anywhere in Ukraine are invited to notify their presence in the country and provide their contact details by registering on the online platform www.connect2cy.gov.cy and/or by contacting the Embassy of the Republic in Kyiv.
They are also advised to be ready to diversify their travel in the short term, due to possible further escalation in the region. If their presence in the country is not necessary, Cypriot citizens are encouraged to leave the country.
