In light of the developments in Ukraine, the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of the Republic of Cyprus reiterates its support for the sovereignty, independence and territorial integrity of Ukraine within its internationally recognized borders.

Any actions that violate the territorial integrity of the country are contrary to basic principles of international law and violate the Minsk Agreements which are the only way to resolve the crisis. We are against any secession, recognition, support for secession and any form of annexation.

The Foreign Minister will participate in an extraordinary, informal meeting of EU Foreign Ministers, which will take place this afternoon in Paris.
